Torn Food Bags

Though the Health Committee prefers
the better grade of commercial dog food that is made with organic
ingredients and without excessive fillers and dyes, the food
should NOT be purchased if the bag has been torn prior to purchase.
Usually these dog foods are shipped with natural preservatives that
can be destroyed when the bag has been torn, making spoilage
possible if they sit for any length of time.
For that matter, any torn food bag or broken/dented can is more
likely to have been contaminated and for that reason should be
avoided.
